You may have heard, it’s pouring down here in Galveston. Keeping dry and safe though, so all is well.

Glanced at the weather app on my phone this morning. We are due for a lot of rain this week!

Another two-for-one deal today. Yesterday’s poem was inspired by an offhanded text message my bride sent. Today’s by a conversation about traveling I had with my parents.

Today is Friday the Thirteenth. It’s also a full moon. Brace for the crazy.

No idea where this came from but I think I like it.

A Storm is rolling in this morning.

Had to hurry to scribble Saturday’s poem down at the last minute before I forgot. The words came to me quickly and kept trying to slip away.

And today we’re back to the vet because the puppy got his cone off and tore his stitches.

I’ve been fascinated by the imagery of the lighthouse lately. Hardly an original notion, the idea of a guiding destination, but it feels especially pertinent to me lately at this stage of my creative journey.

The puppy’s surgery went well yesterday. Because he was scared and not feeling well afterwards, we let him sleep in the bed. During the night he turned around and positioned his butt in my face. This morning he woke me up with a gentle, aromatic flatulent. Pfft.

My dog is having surgery today. Prayers and best wishes are appreciated.
(Aside: that is not him in the featured image)
