No title for today’s piece. It feels rough and unfinished. But I’m writing poetry again and if it’s a little raw, so be it.
It’s been a little while since I waxed romantic so without further ado…
I woke up to the wonderful sight that inspired today’s poem. If ever any evidence was needed that I married well…
Writing this poem this morning while sitting across from my bride as soft music plays. Hard not to get a little romantic.
Just admiring my bride this morning as she smiles. Her happiness makes me happy.
My bride’s been working in Houston all week and thanks to my own work schedule I didn’t get to see her until late last night. Neither of us sleep especially well when apart. Coming home for a productive day to spend some quality time with her before bed was wonderful.
Work is keeping my bride and I apart again. It’s a wonderful problem to have. It means though that we don’t get to see each other enough and even when we do that amount isn’t enough because we know it’s only temporary and we are each left craving more.
This morning’s poem brought to you courtesy of Mihri Hatun, who said “At a glance I love you with a thousand hearts.”
Had a thunderstorm roll in last night. It was pretty neat.
I had a wonderful time with my bride today.
